Gold Coast Oktoberfest Cruise 2013
The 2013 Oktoberfest Cruise will be held in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast from 28 – 29 September.
As this will be the first Oktoberfest event on the waterways of the Gold Coast, it will surely leave great memories for visitors and tourists alike. For a merry and joyous celebration, there will be great food, beer and music. The best-dressed guest will receive surprises and prizes.
Everyone can enjoy a three-hour cruise aboard a spacious and comfortable all-weather vessel provided by Wyndham Cruises. The ship will depart from Tiki Village wharf, river end Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise. The entry cost per adult is $39.
The roots of Oktoberfest date back to 1810, when Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese got married in Munich, Germany. The townspeople were invited in celebration of the occasion and the event took place in the fields outside the city gates. The spirit of Oktoberfest lives on today and is one of the world’s most popular annual festivals.
A Gold Coast cruise is the best way to experience and take in the beautiful sights of the Waterway canal system and Broadwater. The approximate walking distance to Surfers Paradise accommodation is 100-150 metres from the bus stops.
